From $6k a month: start with 3 months, then month to month. Ignat and a senior team design, build and test changes on your website and product, and review the numbers with you every month.
By Ignat, founder of DIXI · Updated

A design partner is a senior design and development team that works on your website and product every month, instead of on one project. At DIXI that means Ignat and a core team of designers and developers who plan the month with you, ship changes to live pages and product screens, and review the results with you every month.
Not to be confused with a startup’s “design partners”: the early customers who help shape a product.
SaaS, AI and fintech teams from Seed to Series B that change their website and product every month. Typically that is a marketing team that needs new pages faster than a developer queue allows, and a product team that needs senior UX without a six-month hiring process.
Every month you get product and web design, development on your stack (Webflow, Framer, Astro, Shopify or custom code), experiments and A/B tests on live pages, design system upkeep and a monthly review against one metric agreed at the start. You work with Ignat directly, backed by senior designers and developers. Everything we make, from Figma files to code, belongs to you.
One workstream at a time, run by a small senior team. At the base price that is your website or one product area, with enough capacity each month for a few changes that matter, not a queue of small tasks. In a typical month: one new page or flow designed, built and released, a couple of improvements to what already exists, one experiment, and the review. You agree the plan and the scope before each month starts.
A use-case page for the buyer your sales team meets most, a tighter pricing section and an A/B test on the homepage headline. Designed, built in your CMS and released.
The onboarding step where new users stall, redesigned with every state, built by us or specced for your engineers, and checked after release. Plus two fixes from support tickets.
Ignat leads, plans the month with you and joins every review. A senior designer and a developer from the core team do the work; our SEO specialist joins when pages need it.
Each month runs on the same loop: plan, ship, measure, review. Then we decide what stays, what changes and what we try next.
In the first week we agree priorities with you and the metric that matters, from your analytics and your roadmap.
Through the month we design, build and review with you every week. Your engineers see specs before they start.
Changes go live on your site and in your product, with every state checked after release.
At the end of the month we sit down with you and the numbers: what moved, what didn’t, what comes next.
Choose a design subscription for a steady flow of small marketing assets, a freelancer or fractional lead for one defined need, and an in-house hire once you need a full-time designer for years. A design partner sits between them: a senior team that designs and builds across your website and product, without a 12-month contract or a hiring process.
| Option | Monthly cost | Commitment | Who does the work | Development | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| DIXI · Design partner | from $6k | 3 months, then month to month | Founder-led senior team: designers and developers | Included | Teams shipping website and product changes every month |
| Design subscription | $699–4,995; median entry $899 | None; pause or cancel | One designer or a pool, 1–2 requests at a time | Rarely (Designjoy includes Webflow) | A steady flow of marketing assets |
| Fractional head of design | from $5,000 for about 31 hours | Usually month to month | One person | Usually not | Design leadership for a defined period |
| In-house designer (US) | about $12.4k with benefits (estimate) | A permanent hire, plus recruiting | One designer you manage | No; a web developer is a second hire | Years of full-time work on one product |
Prices as published by DIXI, Designjoy, ManyPixels (index of 15 subscriptions, October 2026) and Go Fractional; US Bureau of Labor Statistics median wage for web and digital interface designers ($104,000, May 2025) and benefits share of pay (30%, June 2026). The in-house monthly cost is our estimate from those two figures. Checked 31 October 2026. Full cost guide: see pricing.
An unlimited subscription is a queue. You add requests, a designer works through them one or two at a time, and success is measured in turnaround. A design partner decides with you what is worth doing, builds it, and checks whether it worked. Designjoy, for example, takes one request at a time for $4,995 a month; DIXI plans each month around a metric.
| Unlimited design subscription | DIXI design partner | |
|---|---|---|
| How work is chosen | You add requests to a queue | We plan the month with you, against one metric |
| Scope | Marketing assets and single screens | Your website and your product |
| Who builds it | Design only, as a rule | Design and development in one team |
| How success is measured | Turnaround time | The metric you agreed on |
| Who you work with | A designer or a pool of designers | The founder and a senior team |
Our longest partnerships ran for years, not weeks. For 3.5 years we worked inside ComboCurve’s product team, while the company reported 650% year-over-year growth at its $50M Series B. At Koyfin we spent two years in the product team, designing a native app from zero and 8 core web features.

more users reach a finished report after two senior DIXI designers rebuilt the reporting platform in 5–6 months.
Client milestones reflect each company’s whole team; design was one part. In these three engagements the clients’ own engineers built what we designed.

Olga BeregovaPartner, HCMChanges aimed at a metric you already track: a homepage message that says what you do in five seconds, a pricing page that answers objections, use-case pages for the buyers sales talks to, an onboarding step that loses fewer users. Where your traffic is large enough, we run A/B tests. Where it isn’t, we ship, compare before and after, and tell you how confident the read is.
A headline that says what you do and for whom, so the right buyer knows in five seconds.
Plans, comparisons and FAQs that answer the objections your sales team hears.
One page for each buyer and job your sales team talks to, with the proof that buyer needs.
The step where new users stall, redesigned so more of them reach the first result.

I'm Ignat, and you work with me directly: no account managers and no handoffs, just a senior team that designs and builds your site.
Three months to start, then month to month. Three months is enough to learn your product, ship meaningful changes and see whether a metric moves. After that you can stay, add capacity for a launch, move to a support subscription from $1k a month, or stop. The partnership starts at $6k a month; every format and price is on our pricing page.
With a 25-minute call with Ignat. Afterwards you get a written plan of what to fix first and a quote. If you would rather see how we think before a call, ask for a free homepage teardown. Many teams start with a Conversion Sprint on one page and continue as partners once the numbers move.

Or start with a free teardown →No. A design subscription is a request queue: you add tasks, a designer works through one or two at a time, and you judge it by turnaround. A design partner plans the month with you, designs and builds the changes on your website and product, and reviews the results against one agreed metric. DIXI’s partnership starts at $6k a month and includes development; most subscriptions cover design only.
One workstream at a time, your website or one product area, run by Ignat with a senior designer and a developer from the core team. That is enough each month for a few changes that matter, such as a new page or flow designed, built and released, a couple of improvements and one experiment, plus the monthly review. Two workstreams in parallel, heavy feature development or a hard launch date add capacity, agreed before the month starts.
Yes. The team that designs your pages and product screens also builds them, in Webflow, Framer, Astro, Shopify or custom code. If you have your own engineers, we work alongside them with specs, components and every state, reviewed before and after release, the way we worked inside ComboCurve’s and Koyfin’s product teams.
Yes. Our longest partnerships were embedded: 3.5 years in ComboCurve’s product team and two years in Koyfin’s, in the client’s rituals and tools, with designs reviewed with developers before and after each release. You get Ignat in your planning and review meetings and full access to our Figma files.
Often, yes. At ComboCurve we worked next to an in-house designer and the engineering team. At HCM International, two senior DIXI designers worked with the firm’s partners while HCM’s own developers built the product. A partner adds senior capacity and an outside view without a new hire, and your team keeps the design system and every file.
We agree one metric before the first month, such as demo requests, sign-ups, activation or conversion to a key step, and track it every month. Each monthly review covers what shipped, what moved, what didn’t and what we change next. If something can’t be measured, we say so instead of claiming credit for it.
The partnership continues month to month. You can keep the same scope, add capacity for a launch, move to a support subscription from $1k a month once things are stable, or stop. Figma files, code and the design system are yours throughout, and we hand everything over in full.
After a 25-minute call with Ignat you get a written plan and a quote. The first month starts with an audit of your site and product, so the work goes to the pages and flows with the most traffic and the biggest drop-off.
